The Dutch selection for the European AI Startup Landscape has been expanded with eight new Top AI Startups, as announced by the Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC) at the World Summit AI earlier this month. Among them is a very promising Rotterdam based company: Alpha Brain Technologies.

The European AI Startup Landscape is a centralised database that gives a clear overview of AI start-ups categorised by country and category. You can visit the recent selection of the most promising Dutch startups that the NL AIC has brought in together with partners, including Zuid-Holland AI.

The selection is updated quarterly. This months update added one Zuid-Holland startup:

Alpha Brain Technologies (Rotterdam)

Alpha Brain Technologies was founded by a group of individuals passionate about brain health. They are working on OS-1, a non-invasive, easy to wear medical device that predicts seizures before they happen. The system continuously monitors the brain and alarms the patient and caregiver ahead of time. With the right measures, seizures can even be prevented from happening.

Their mission to alleviate the burden of epilepsy and prevent seizures from happening is joined by scientists and clinicians from Stichting Epilepsie Intellingen Nederland (SEIN), TU Delft, Kempenhaeghe, Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, the University of Manchester and the Max Planck Gesellschaft. They won EY’s Startup Academy Accelerator (2021) and the NL AIC Dutch AI Brain Coalition Challenge.

With the addition of this company, there’s now an inspiring total of 43 Top AI Startups from Zuid-Holland in the Dutch selection of 163 companies. Check out this page for a total overview of the Dutch selection.
